Founded in 2010 in Biddeford, Maine by Mike St. Pierre, the brand is built around one material obsession: Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF), a laminated fabric that is fully waterproof, virtually rip-proof, and weighs almost nothing. In 2025 HMG upgraded its core packs to a new fully woven Dyneema construction that is up to 10x more abrasion resistant than the previous fabric, while staying just as light and waterproof.
