DESCRIPTION
Hyperlite Mountain Gear Prism Pack 40 - is 40-liter backpack designed specifically for ice climbing and light and fast alpinism. 40L is measured with the Nylon extension collar, the removable lid adds an additional 3.5L.
Prism has a lot of features, but still remain lightweight, empty weighs 827 grams.
The main body of the Prism pack is built of DCH150, while even stronger 375 Denier DCHW is used in the back, bottom and sides to limit abrasion as much as possible.
All previously made HMG packs have roll-top closure systems to save weight. The Prism is their first pack with traditional brain built for quick access to headlamp, extra gloves, energy bar any other things. Beneath the removable brain is a gray collar with two drawstring closures easily adjustable even with thick gloves.
Climbers can store a rope under the lid, glacier adventurers can store their wands in the side pockets, and backcountry skiers can depend on the A-frame carry when they’re on foot marching up the steep stuff. Alpinists of all types can round out the pack with the Prism Crampon Bag and Prism Ice Screw Case for an even more dialed setup.
While Hyperlite made the Prism specifically with ice climbing in mind, thanks to a lot of smart features, it’ll serve you well on other adventures too.
