Pa’lante Turtle Pack is the smallest vest-style backpack in the Pa’lante lineup, designed for trail running, fast hiking, fishing, cycling, ridge traverses and lightweight outdoor adventures. Combining a compact design with a comfortable running vest-inspired harness, the Turtle Pack is ideal for fast-moving adventures when you only need the essentials. With its minimalist construction and thoughtfully designed storage, it offers an excellent alternative to the larger Mini Joey for shorter outings and adventures where freedom of movement matters most.

The Turtle Pack is available in two fabric options: 100D Robic Nylon in Black and UltraWeave™ 100X in Glacier. Both versions combine lightweight, durable fabrics with 210D UHMWPE Gridstop, 70D Nylon Ripstop and 70D 3x3 UHMWPE Grid Mesh. These carefully selected materials provide an excellent balance of low weight, durability and functionality for active outdoor use.

With a compact 4 L internal capacity, the Turtle Pack provides enough room for a couple of lightweight layers, snacks, hydration and essential equipment. The center zippered main compartment offers convenient access to your gear, while the streamlined design keeps the pack close to your body without unnecessary bulk. Whether you're heading out for a quick trail run, a technical ridge traverse or a day of tenkara fishing, the Turtle Pack keeps everything organized and easily accessible.

One of its standout features is the large U-shaped front UHMWPE grid mesh pocket, which wraps around the front of the pack and features cinchable openings on both sides of the central zipper. This versatile external storage provides quick access to items such as a wind jacket, gloves, snacks or other frequently used essentials. The bottom section of the U-shaped pocket is particularly useful for storing compact emergency equipment, a lightweight blanket or other small items you want to keep separate from the main compartment.

Inside the pack, a dedicated hydration bladder sleeve accommodates reservoirs up to 1.5 L, making it easy to stay hydrated during longer outings. An additional internal UHMWPE grid mesh zippered pocket provides secure storage for valuables and smaller essentials, while an integrated cord loop allows keys or other important items to be attached securely.

The Turtle Pack features comfortable vest-style shoulder straps constructed from two layers of breathable 3D mesh. The softer inner layer feels comfortable against the body, while the wider vest-style design helps distribute the load and provides a secure, body-hugging fit during active movement. A breathable mesh back panel with an integrated, non-removable 2 mm foam pad adds cushioning and structure without unnecessary weight.

Spacious shoulder strap pockets are designed to accommodate 500 ml soft flasks, phones, compact cameras, snacks and other essentials you want to access without stopping. The dual sternum strap system uses webbing straps and buckles attached to daisy chains, allowing both sternum straps to be adjusted vertically for a personalized fit. Side straps with 25 mm aluminum ladder-lock buckles provide additional adjustment to help stabilize the pack during running, hiking or cycling.

Designed with anglers and minimalist adventurers in mind, the Turtle Pack includes a versatile system of dedicated loops, lashing points and shock cord toggles for carrying tenkara fishing rods, trekking poles and other elongated equipment. Each side features a grosgrain loop for securing a fishing rod handle, while the included shock cord toggles help stabilize longer items extending above the pockets. An additional cord loop on the left shoulder strap can secure longer rods, and a central cord loop provides a convenient attachment point for a fishing net.
