• Pa’lante pack size measurements refer to the length of the back panel, measured from the highest point between the shoulder straps to the bottom of the panel when pulled taut.
• Generally speaking, the 16–17" (40.5–43 cm) torso length packs can be considered a small/medium, while the 19" (48 cm) torso length packs can be considered a medium/large.
• If you're around 5'9" (175 cm) or taller, the 19" (48 cm) packs will generally fit well.
• If you're under approximately 5'9" (175 cm), the 16–17" (40.5–43 cm) packs tend to fit better.
• For Pa’lante packs equipped with Joey straps, the long strap version can be considered a large/XL fit and is generally recommended for users around 6'2" (188 cm) or taller and/or 200 lb (91 kg) or heavier.
• Most people will prefer the 19" (48 cm) pack when using the hipbelt regularly, as the longer back panel allows the hipbelt to sit more naturally in line with the hips.
• When worn without a hipbelt, Pa’lante recommends tightening the shoulder straps so the pack rides higher on your back.
• When using the hipbelt, the shoulder straps can be loosened slightly to allow the pack to sit lower and transfer some of the load to your hips.
• If you need additional adjustment around the chest, Pa’lante also offers extra-long sternum straps to help fine-tune the fit.
