TARPTENT Rainbow DW

TARPTENT Rainbow DW - is the double-wall version of the legendary Rainbow, the solo shelter that has been a Tarptent bestseller since 2006. New for 2026, the Rainbow DW keeps everything hikers love about the original - the spacious 1+ sized interior, the single-arch design and the fast six-stake pitch - and adds a separate inner tent and fly. The result is a lightweight double-wall tent that gives you condensation separation, an interior-only pitch on dry nights and a fly that rolls back for stargazing, all at a weight most single-wall solo tents struggle to match.

With a 91 cm wide and 224 cm long floor, the Rainbow DW swallows a long, wide sleeping pad with room to spare and is recommended by Tarptent for taller hikers up to 1.98 m (6 ft 6 in). The partially solid inner walls block cold breezes and blowing dust at sleeping level, while the large high and low vents keep the air moving. Every fabric on this tent is 100% silicone-coated with no PU coatings - so it stays waterproof for years, does not sag when wet and does not delaminate.

Please note that the Rainbow DW requires at least 130 cm / 51 in trekking poles to become free-standing. Best with 137 cm / 54 in poles. Trekking poles are only required for free standing, not required for general use. Trekking pole tip extenders can extend your trekking poles.
