SIX MOON DESIGNS Skyscape Trekker - is an awesome 1- person tent for those who are looking to lighten the backpacking load. The Trekker is the same tent as the Scout, but is made using siliconized polyester fabric and is about 340g lighter. 

Skyscape is a very uniquely designed shelter. It has a diamond shaped interior canopy which allows the user to have ample space for themselves and for all the gear. The perfect thing about having the two doors and the two vestibules is you can have all your wet gear on one side of the tent and an easy way to access in and out of your tent if you need to go out to the toilet during the evening. 

The Skyscape employs Hybrid Double Wall construction. Over 80% of the canopy is separated from you by a mesh wall, keeping that wet canopy at bay. The Hybrid Double Wall construction allows the door and vestibules roll back to be able to stargaze at night while you're out in the field. On warm summer nights, convert the Skyscape into a net tent, pesky bugs stay outside while you enjoy the views and breezes. If the weather is really bad in full storm mode the dual vestibules come all the way down to provide protection for the user and his gear.

The Skyscape series is also a very long tent that has become a very popular tent with people that are over 185cm tall. We had users with height about 200cm / 6'8'' use this tent and say they have plenty of room inside at night. 

Skyscape tents use two trekking poles to set up or two accessory poles (they are sold separately) with fixed length 115 cm (45"). Having the two pole design makes it a very easy shelter to set up, it's a very sturdy shelter in the wind and it can hold up to a variety of different conditions. 

We offer two optional pole types, Aluminum or Carbon Fiber. While both poles work well with the Trekker, the Aluminum poles are more affordable in price. While SMD Carbon Fiber poles are half the weight of the Aluminum poles. 

One other major design feature about the shelter is that the apex of the tent is offset in a 60/40 split. The reason for this is by moving the offset to 40 to your head and 60 to your feet. As you sit up in the tent you have more usable headspace without brushing your head against the wall. The offset also yields extra head room when lying down, reducing that claustrophobic feeling. Further, it allows the Skyscape to be extremely rigid when guyed out, creating a structure capable of riding out the worst storms.

The Skyscape's large side entry door lets you easily enter the tent or retrieve gear. With floor length over 262 cm (103 inch), the Skyscape accommodates the tallest hikers. You can carry a light tent and still sleep well.
