Created primarily for backcountry skiers and winter mountaineers, this innovative rescue tarp provides reliable support during emergencies, helping injured partners reach medical assistance safely.

Compact and easy to carry, the Ski Rescue Tarp is an essential addition to any backcountry ski kit, avalanche safety gear, or winter expedition setup. In the event of an accident, it can be quickly transformed into a gurney-style rescue sled, allowing partners to transport an injured skier across snow with greater stability and efficiency.

Beyond rescue situations, the tarp also functions as a protective groundsheet or emergency shelter, offering critical protection from wind, snow, and cold while waiting for help or stabilizing a patient.

Made from ALUULA Durlyte fabric, the tarp delivers exceptional durability with properties similar to a ski base material, ensuring it withstands harsh winter conditions and repeated use. Despite its strength, it remains lightweight and packable, making it easy to carry on long backcountry tours.

Materials: Made using ALUULA Durlyte and 10d High-Visibility Orange Nylon. Durlyte is an incredibly tough film molecularly bonded to an ultra-strong ALUULA Core™, featuring abrasion resistance and low friction allowing for a smoother extraction across snow.

Hardware: 14 Aluminum D-Rings for easily packaging the patient.

Loops: 8 webbing handles for moving the patient. UHMWPE webbing slots in cage for holding skis/splitboard in place. 2 sets of reinforced UHMWPE haul loops at the head and foot for towing.

Snaps: 7 exterior snaps allow for the tarp to be used as a make-shift bivouac.

Storage: Heat Welded ALUULA Durlyte stuff sack.

Tie-Outs: 16 exterior tie-outs provide ample options for pitching as a tarp or emergency shelter.

Webbing: Interior UHMWPE webbing cage provides optimal strength and limited ground contact for better glide.
