The Hyperlite Mountain Gear Bug Bivy is a purpose-built shelter solution for ultralight adventurers who want reliable protection from insects without sacrificing weight, space, or simplicity. Whether used on its own under the stars or paired with a tarp or mid-style shelter, the Bug Bivy creates a breathable barrier that keeps bugs out while maintaining excellent airflow, ideal for humid, warm, or variable conditions.
At the core of the Bug Bivy is a 9-inch bathtub floor made from Dyneema® Composite Fabric (DCF 0.75), engineered to protect you from wet ground, splashes, and wind-driven moisture. The raised floor design adds confidence in unpredictable environments while keeping overall weight impressively low.
The upper section is constructed from NoSeeUm mesh, delivering full insect protection while maximizing ventilation for a cooler, condensation-free sleep.
The Bug Bivy integrates seamlessly into ultralight shelter systems. It pairs perfectly with flat tarps or mids for added weather protection, making it a versatile choice for changing conditions and different trip styles.
