How it works

The kit uses matching buckles that clip directly onto the existing buckles at the peaks of your inner tent, while grommets make it easy to add your trekking poles. Peak guylines are included and adjust easily with cord tensioners that match the rest of your tent.

Pitching with the Stargazer Kit

1. Stake out the 4 corners of your floor so it lays taut in its parallelogram shape.
2. Buckle the Stargazer adapters to the two peaks using the matching buckles.
3. One peak at a time: extend your pole so it is 5–10 cm (2–4″) taller than the inner tent peak, insert the pole tip into the grommet, and stake out the guyline.
4. Aim the guyline approximately in line with the ridgeline — orienting it in another direction will twist the inner and reduce interior space.
5. Use the provided tensioner to snug up the line, then repeat at the other peak.
