Men's Torrid Pants – Size Guide

The Enlightened Equipment Men's Torrid Pants are designed with a slightly oversized fit to comfortably accommodate additional layers underneath. Sizes run approximately half a size larger than standard clothing, so your ideal size may differ from what you normally wear.

For the best fit, we recommend measuring your waist and hips and comparing your measurements with the manufacturer's size chart below. The chart refers to body measurements, not the actual dimensions of the pants.

How to measure

1. Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, keeping the measuring tape comfortably snug.

2. Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips, keeping the tape level.

3. Inseam: Measure along the inside of your leg, from the crotch to the ankle bone. The Torrid Pants are available in the following inseam lengths:

76 cm (30") – XS, S
80 cm (32") – M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL

Choosing the right size

The Torrid Pants are intended to be worn as an insulating outer layer over base layers or lightweight hiking pants. Their relaxed cut provides extra room for layering without restricting movement.

If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider how you plan to wear them. For a closer fit over thin base layers, the smaller size may be preferable. If you plan to wear them over thicker clothing or prefer a more relaxed fit, consider the larger size. Make sure both your waist and hip measurements are taken into account.

Choose your inseam length separately based on your leg measurement and preferred coverage. The pants should provide comfortable coverage without excessive fabric gathering around your ankles.
