ULA Equipment - short for Ultralight Adventure Equipment - is one of the most trusted names in ultralight backpacks. Founder Brian Frankle started ULA in Logan, Utah in 2001 after a Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike, built on a simple conviction: ultralight should not mean ultra-fragile. A quarter of a century later that idea still defines the brand. Every pack is designed, cut, sewn and finished in-house in Logan, Utah, with nothing outsourced - a genuinely rare thing in the outdoor world. The flagship Circuit is the icon of the line: a roughly two-pound pack that carries far bigger loads than its weight suggests, and together with the Catalyst it turns up year after year among the most popular packs on the Pacific Crest and Continental Divide Trails.
