Palante Pack Size
• Palante pack size measurements refer to the length of the back panel from the highest point between the shoulder straps to the bottom of the panel when pulled taut.
• Generally speaking, the 16–17" (40.5–43 cm) torso length packs can be considered a small, and the 19" (48 cm) torso length packs a medium/large.
• If you're around 5'8" (173 cm) or taller, the 19" (48 cm) packs will generally fit well.
• If you're under 5'8" (173 cm), the 16–17" (40.5–43 cm) packs tend to fit better.
• If you are on the shorter side but have a broader chest, the 19" (48 cm) pack may fit better because of the longer shoulder straps used on the large packs.
• Most people will prefer the 19" (48 cm) pack when using the hipbelt often, as it allows the hipbelt to align more naturally with your hips.
• When worn without a hipbelt, we recommend tightening the shoulder straps so the pack rides higher.
• When using the hipbelt, the shoulder straps can be loosened slightly to let the pack sit lower and transfer some weight to your hips.
